2016 TAM Annual Conference Session Proposal Form
"Three-Part Harmony: Preservation, Interpretation, Inspiration"
2016 TAM Annual Conference
March 16-18, 2015 |  Nashville, Tennessee

Deadline for proposal submission: October 30, 2015

Join the Tennessee Association of Museums (TAM), the Society of Tennessee Archivists (STA), and the Tennessee Preservation Trust (TPT) at the Inn at Opryland, Nashville, Tennessee, for a special conference.

TAM, STA, and TPT actively engage their members through professional development opportunities and advocate for the advancement of museums, archival collections, and preservation efforts. In March 2016, these three organizations will unite their members’ voices for a joint event specifically planned to strengthen collaboration and celebrate the exemplary work occurring in each of Tennessee’s three grand divisions.

Session proposals should build on the theme “Three-Part Harmony” and may include examples of how your institution or organization has garnered success through strong advocacy relationships, broadened programming through cooperative partnerships, created innovative marketing strategies, or established new ways to connect with an ever-diversifying audience. Effective session proposals often include plans for sharing inspirational stories, demonstrating tried-and-true tips of the trade, and/or explaining new approaches to preserving and interpreting the history, heritage, and culture of our great state.
Most sessions will last one hour and will consist of a 45-minute presentation followed by 15 minutes of discussion. Please be prepared to include contact information for your session participants as part of your proposal.
