By filling out this form you are pledging to donate to LUH's Back to School event to bring hope to a child that lives in a residential treatment facility. Light Up Hope currently assists Family Services (Erie and Crawford Counties), Harborcreek Youth Services, Edmund L Thomas, Sarah Reed, and Bethesda.
This year, we would like to provide something different than the typical bookbag and supplies. We are asking our donors to purchase a new outfit and/or shoes for a child. You can also purchase other Back to School items if you so choose, but this new outfit will be more than just clothes. This will bring sense of self expression and self-worth for these youth. Back to School shopping is an exciting time for kids to express themselves and feel good about themselves when going to school. We want youth in residential facilities to have that same feeling of pride and self-worth that comes with wearing your new outfit to school on the first day. Please put all items in a gift bag. If your child has an allergy, that information will be shared. Lastly, label the Back-to-School bag with the child code that is provided in order to keep their information private.
You will be contacted by one of the board members of Light Up Hope with your child information by August 1st, 2025. We will be doing a drop-off event on August 16th from 11 am to 2 pm @ Flightpath Fellowship by the airport. If you are unable to attend the drop-off event, then arrangements need to be made prior to the event.
After you have received your child/children, please look at the information closely and if there are ANY discrepancies with the number you have received, please reach out to a board member to fix the issue.
