SPRINT Reference Information: Summer, 2014 International Trips

Thank you for your willingness to serve as a reference for a Summer, 2014 SPRINT trip applicant.

SPRINT (Seattle Pacific Reachout International) is Seattle Pacific University's summer international missions program, supported by SPU's John Perkins Center for Reconciliation, Leadership Training and Community Development (www.spu.edu/perkins). SPRINT engages Seattle Pacific University students in short-term summer international mission and service trips in partnership with community leaders around the globe. SPRINT’s pre-trip training and post-trip debriefing processes emphasize understanding culture, partnering alongside local leaders and life-long integration of faith, learning and service.

Successful applicants for SPRINT trips will be open to learning from new cultures and local leaders, committed to the challenges and time commitments of pre-trip training, fundraising and team meetings and ready to grow in or explore Christian faith. Applicants need not have prior international experience.

To learn more about each of this summer's trips, visit www.spu.edu/sprint. If you have further questions, please contact Owen Sallee, SPRINT staff advisor: owen@spu.edu.
