Application: Take Root | Evergreen at Green Space 2021/2022 Season
DEADLINE: May 20, 2021

Take Root | Evergreen
This year, Green Space's Take Root program will offer Virtual and In-Person options for seasoned artists, 30 years of age or older, who are experienced choreographers but may be exploring new branches in their work. The Take Root series is a CURATED opportunity.

1) VIRTUAL Performance #1: Video Recorded at Green Space, Uploaded Later: You present your work at Green Space (with theatrical lighting wash to suit your piece, no tech). You may also have one (1) hour prior to performing/filming to rehearse/run through your piece in the space. Green Space staff records the full performance and uploads it to our YouTube channel the following week. The link will be available through June 2022 on a donation-made basis. No in-person audience.

2) VIRTUAL Performance #2: Pre-Recorded Video: You send a full pre-recorded video file to us. This can be from a past performance OR it can be a new work, but it must be professional high-quality performance footage (no rehearsal videos please). We will present your video through the URL link you provide and make it available on a donation-made basis through June 2022.

3) IN-PERSON Performance: We expect performances to be able to resume in-person by September 2021. We plan to offer in-person performance options to artists at reduced capacity (i.e. ~ 25 audience members total) beginning Sept. 2021, increasing to fuller capacity beginning in 2022. We understand that pandemic conditions are subject to change at any time. Therefore, WE ADVISE ALL SELECTED ARTISTS WHO CHOOSE AN IN-PERSON PERFORMANCE PREPARE A VIRTUAL BACKUP VIDEO SO WE CAN STILL PRESENT YOUR WORK DURING YOUR CHOSEN PERFORMANCE MONTH.
