December 2018 Natural Mystery
For this month's Natural Mystery, we have another challenging track. This photo comes from a snow covered asphalt path through a park in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It seems obvious at first glance, but there is something odd here. The question is "who?"

An ideal answer will identify the animal to species, explain how you arrived at your answer, and explain how you eliminated other candidates and possibilities. It is, after all, a raccoon until proven otherwise. Your explanations will help others benefit from your process as you puzzle through this. I'll be honest--this is an extremely difficult track to interpret, but I *think* it is possible to ID from this photo. Good luck!
