Guardian Input Survey - How does your child learn best?
Aloha parents, guardians, positive adult supporters, etc!

Chemistry is an elective science course. It is NOT required for high school graduation. It is recommended for students who wish to go to college and major in science, math or engineering. The reason for this is because of the challenging nature of chemistry.

A quick note on the challenging nature of chemistry:
It is a spiraling course which means that material will be built upon. As new material is learned, it will use knowledge from previous units/lessons. Students find this challenging because they sometimes forget the previous material or did not properly learn the material.
In addition, students find chemistry challenging because of the embedded math and problem-solving. It is advisable that students have previously completed Algebra II or are concurrently enrolled.

This short survey was designed by Ms. Henderson.
All information in this survey will remain confidential. The purpose of this survey is to solicit individual input from the people who know their student's individual needs best. It is my goal as a teacher to create a partnership with parents/guardians/positive adult supporters to best support their student's individual learning needs.

Please complete this survey to help me be a better teacher for your individual student to help them be successful in chemistry.

Mahalo for your support and partnership!
