Johanson’s Entrepreneurship Faculty Fellows (formerly Coleman Faculty Fellows) reside in schools and departments throughout Fresno State. They have incorporated elements of entrepreneurship learning into their curriculum with the goal to inspire students in all disciplines to apply knowledge in support of the entrepreneurial mindset. Today, an active collaborative network of 20 full-time Faculty Fellows is placed throughout the University integrating an entrepreneurial mindset into their teaching.

September 15 is the first day of Hispanic Heritage Month. Pulque is a Mexican alcoholic beverage that is made from fermented sap of maguey plant. The purpose of the workshop is to educate about the history of Pulque. I am a recent graduate of the Fresno State M.B.A program and my project was on Pulque.

Participants will learn about the standardized methods established for quantifying the physical, chemical, and biological soil health indicators that pertain to climate change.

The San Joaquin Valley in Central California and the Salinas Valley on the West Coast are commonly referred to as the “Food Basket of the World” and “The Salad Bowl”, respectively. Over the past two decades, vegetable production in these regions has been plagued by food safety issues such as E.Coli and Salmonella contamination of crops such as lettuce and melons. During this presentation, attendees will learn about the two major proactive approaches producers are adopting to minimize the adverse health impact and financial losses associated with these outbreaks:  The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and California Leafy Greens Handler Marketing Agreement (LGMA).
