About the Achievement Camp

June 4 - June 28 (Mon-Thu each week)

Every summer, iEducate organizes a Summer Achievement Camp for rising/incoming 1st and 2nd grade students at participating elementary schools. Our Summer Achievement Camps are led entirely by college & high school youth. You will be working alongside your peers to lead students in lessons and activities around reading, math, science, and various enrichment activities.

Available positions at each camp include:

4 Lead Teacher Positions
College Students: $12 per hour ** In order to be paid, you must be eligible to work in the US **
+ (Paid) Lead Teacher - leads classroom instruction for 10-15 students

4-8 High School Co-Teachers/Enrichment Leaders
4 High School Students( Ages 16-19) $8 per hour ** In order to be paid, you must be eligible to work in the US **
+ (Paid ) Enrichment Leaders - design and lead daily enrichment activity and support Lead Teacher during instruction
4 High School Students(Ages 14-15) Volunteer, unpaid
+ (Volunteer) Co-Teachers- support Lead Teacher and Enrichment Leaders during instruction

Are you interested in being a Classroom Volunteer? *
As a classroom volunteer, you will be supporting the Lead teacher and Enrichment Leader. This will involve small group (1:4) guided reading, tutoring and enrichment activities. High School students ages 13-15, unpaid position
Are you interested in being an Enrichment Leader/Co-teacher? *
As a classroom Enrichment Leader you will be supporting the Lead teacher during instruction, this will involve small group (1:4) guided reading, and tutoring. Also, designing, leading, and delivering the daily enrichment activity to campers. High School students ages 16-19, $8 per hour.
Are you interested in being a Lead Teacher? We STRONGLY prefer those available all weeks. This position will involve training before the camp.
The typical classroom will have 1 high school volunteer, 1 high school enrichment leader, and 1 Lead Teacher. As a Lead Teacher, you will be the lead instructor, in charge of running the classroom and delegating groups to Co-teachers, and volunteers. The Lead Teacher will work with iEducate and the school coordinator to plan & deliver the curriculum/activities.
