Strengthening Pathways Supplemental Application

Strengthening Pathways is partnership between Southwestern University and Austin Community College. The program is supported by the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation to expand the range of opportunities to high-achieving, low-income community college students for transferring to selective colleges and universities. Southwestern University is committed to provide Austin Community College students resources and support as they seek to finish their college education

Program Criteria:
-Completed a minimum of 12 semester hours at ACC
-Pell grant eligible
-At least a 3.25 GPA

Program Requirements:
-Students will carry a full (at least 12 hour) course load each fall and spring semester
-Students must maintain a 3.25 cumulative GPA and make satisfactory academic progress at ACC
-Participate in civic engagement activities sponsored by the program
-Participate in peer-to-peer mentoring program
-Participate in academic activities on Southwestern’s campus during the summer
-Perform grade checks each semester
