The two distinct areas of Exercise Science (Exercise Science & Nutrition and Pre-Professional) prepare students for a variety of fitness and wellness positions in personal training and in community, corporate, and clinical settings. In addition, many students pursue direct entry into exercise science graduate programs.
Each of the two tracts shares a common core curriculum in HHP, and both can lead to certification with leading fitness organizations, including the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). Also, students in the applied track often pursue an internship at the completion of their coursework, which is an outstanding opportunity to gain work experience in a relevant setting.
