Como organizaciones, académicos y líderes de opinión amazónicos e internacionales, apoyamos el llamado de los pueblos indígenas de la cuenca amazónica por un acuerdo global para la protección permanente del 80% de la Amazonía para el 2025, como medida urgente para detener el punto de no retorno y responder a la crisis planetaria con un cambio transformador. Nos solidarizamos y nos unimos a la Iniciativa “Amazonía por la Vida: Protejamos el 80% al 2025” y la Declaración de los pueblos indígenas amazónicos:
As Amazonian and international organizations, academics and opinion leaders, we support the call of the indigenous peoples for a global pact for the permanent protection of 80% of the Amazon forest by 2025. This is an urgent measure to stop the point of no return and respond to the planetary climate crisis change we are living now. We stand in solidarity and join the Initiative "Amazonia for Life: Let's protect 80% by 2025" and the Declaration of the Amazonian indigenous peoples:
