Battle of the Bands Audition Form

Are you a band ready to showcase your talent and compete for prizes? Join us for the Radmon x Wednesday Sessions Battle of the Bands!

Event Details:

  • Date: September 11th
  • Location: The Sound Shell, Lemon ScentedLawns
  • Prizes:
    • 1st Place: $500
    • 2nd Place: $150

Aside from the cash prizes, this is an incredible opportunity to gain exposure to a large audience. The event will feature not only a crowd of music lovers but also industry professionals, along with food, drinks, and more. This is your chance to shine and make a name for your band!

The winner will be determined by a combination of audience votes (50%) and a panel of judges (50%).

This event is a collaboration between Radio Monash and MSA's Wednesday Sessions, giving you the chance to become part of a vibrant student music community at Monash University.

Given the logistics and time that it takes for changeover between each set, Radio Monash will provide the necessary backline needed for each band's performance. You will be required to bring personal instruments (guitars), however all backline (amps, keyboard, drums, cymbals, snare) will be provided by MSA and can not be changed. Does your band comply with this requirement?

Bands must acknowledge and accept the following to participate:

If a performer is below the age of 18, they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. 

Every member of the band is expected to be present for the sound check closer to the time of the performance.

Set lists need to be reviewed and approved by Radio Monash, and they should not contain any lyrics that insinuate discrimination upon certain groups.

Once accepted into the competition, all band members are obligated to meet with Radio Monash. During this meeting, they will be given a layout of the venue and discuss instrumentation, sound and be given a chance to try out the instruments provided by Radio Monash.
