Weatherize: to make (a house) better protected against weather.  Weatherization makes the home more comfortable and less costly to heat and cool.  Weatherization is to protect a home or building it from outside elements - particularly from sunlight, precipitation, wind, and modifying it to reduce energy consumption and optimize energy efficiency.
