London Glassblowing is delighted to invite you to the first of three Artist Talks that we are hosting for COLLECT 2021, on Thursday 25 February at 7pm.

We'll be joining our resident Glass Artists (and as it happens, husband and wife), Sophie Layton and Tim Rawlinson, to hear about their inspiration for their latest work whilst they walk us through the gallery to see their stunning pieces in the COLLECT 2021 exhibition.

Peter Layton's daughter Sophie, an established printmaker, is a relatively new convert to glass practice and is one of the few artists currently exploring the historic art of painting with glass enamels in a contemporary idiom.
Both she and her father continually seek to extend the extraordinary medium of glass in new and stimulating directions.  
 
Tim Rawlinson is reaching new levels of maturity in his oeuvre. His cut and polished sculptural glass pieces make extraordinary exploration and exploitation of the refractive qualities of glass.
