We are proposing a minimum wage increase for students between $8.40/hr and $10.40/hr. This would help students working on-campus jobs cover college costs and help Ball State compete with off campus jobs. Our goal is to implement this increase by Fall 2020 or 2021. The current minimum wage for on-campus jobs is $7.25/hr. 79% of student jobs remain at this minimum wage, while only 13% of the remaining jobs that pay above minimum wage are available for undergraduate students.


We are asking for names, bsu emails (if applicable), and demographics on how you are involved with Ball State in order to present to Ball State Administration for further action. We will not contact your email.


This petition is open to all Ball State (current and former, graduate and undergraduate) students, faculty, staff, and community members.
