Short form for those interested in joining a community of faculty around a particular subject -- a CCN cohort.

Cohort members meet virtually monthly, exchange information and ideas, are updated on funding and issue specific activities and share advice with each other. *

Spanish Language Reporting Cohort: Several programs teach Spanish language reporting courses, offer degrees in Spanish reporting and make content available.

Democracy/elections: Programs conducting coverage of governments, elections and related. Coordinated by Meg Little Reilly and Sarah Gamard.

Public Media: Public media leaders come together to discuss how to increase student involvement and develop partnerships. Coordinated by Scott Finn.

Student Media Cohort: Many student media leaders (and faculty and staff) are committed to growing news coverage of their local communities. Coordinated by Chris Whitley, former president of CMA.

SUNY Cohort: The Institute of Local News at SUNY aims to grow local reporting at the 64 campuses and 340,000 students. Meetings are monthly on Fridays, coordinated by Todd Franko and Richard Watts.

Environment/Public Health Cohort: Faculty teaching/leading students doing public health/environmental reporting

Innovations: In how news is delivered, working with AI and more.
