Social and physical conflicts in tabletop RPGs are handled in a variety of ways in roleplaying games. Which do you prefer? (pick one)

All conflicts should use the same resolution mechanism.
All conflicts should use similar resolution mechanisms, but each could/should be modified with their own subsystems.
Combat and derring-do need serious rules support, but social encounters should get some rules support, too.
Social conflict needs serious rules support, but combat and other physical encounters should get some rules support, too.
The game should be about deeds and combat: social can be handled by role-playing.
The game should be about relationships and social conflict: physical challenges should be determined by role-playing or otherwise logically derived from the situation.
Conflicts of all sorts should be interesting minigames in the greater story game.
