School Field Trip Reservation Form
School discounts are only offered to K-12 schools. Payment is not required to reserve a spot for your school. Private programming for schools is only offered during the day Wednesdays through Fridays. (10 AM - 3 PM August through May) Schools visiting in the evening are joining with the public. Evenings are not private and can occur any night except Tuesday nights. Private Daytime tours for schools are completely booked through May. We will offer private tours to schools beginning in August.

Pricing schedule below is only used for K-12 schools.

$50 base fee (Virtual, Daytime, Nighttime)

Plus:  

Arizona Schools:
Daytime: $8 per person
Nighttime: $12 per person

Non-Arizona Schools:
Daytime: $10 per person
Nighttime: $15 per person

Combo of Day tour and Night visit will be charged at the nighttime rate.
(Virtual tours: no additional per student cost after base fee)

Type of program requested *
School programming is offered from August 2022 to May 2023. Daytime visits are private tours and include a tour of two historic telescopes with science demonstrations at each location. Please keep daytime groups to no more than 70. Nighttime visits are NOT private tours. Schools will join in with the public to view through telescopes, participate in constellation tours, and hear science talks. Outside activities are weather dependent.

Please list the dates and times that work best for your school. Lowell Observatory opens at 10 AM and Closes at 10 PM (Some dates/times may be unavailable.)  Private Daytime Tours for schools will resume in August.
Are you at Title 1 school?  (Sometimes we have funding to help Title 1 schools. Funding is limited and is given out on a first-come-first-served basis.)
By checking the box below you understand the following: Completing this registration form does not guarantee registration until Lowell education staff have responded and confirmed your request. Payment is due on arrival or before the reserved programming. (Credit card is preferred) School staff are responsible for student behavior and actions. Programming times are not very flexible and Lowell Observatory is not required to accommodate late arrivals. *
