NWTSJ Resource Fair Info Form
Please join us at our 12th annual NW Teaching for Social Justice Conference on Saturday, October 19th at Chief Sealth International High School in Seattle. Over 1200 educators, students, and parents participated in last year’s conference. During our conference, the Resource Fair provides a space for conference participants to learn more about local, regional and national organizations committed to social justice, youth advocacy and education.
We share the mission of our co-sponsor Rethinking Schools, which is “dedicated to sustaining and strengthening public education through social justice teaching and education activism.” Like Rethinking Schools, we strive to “promote equity and racial justice in the classroom. We encourage grassroots efforts in our schools and communities to enhance the learning and well-being of our children, and to build broad democratic movements for social and environmental justice.”
We have a policy to make sure that organizations participating in the resource fair, are a match with our vision for social justice and education. If you have not participated in the resource fair in the last couple years since we’ve implemented this policy, please take a look at our statement and tell us about your organization in relation to our mission. After approval, we’ll send you a link for registration. We will not begin registration for the Resource Fair until mid-August.
