Procession of the Blessed Sacrament - Nov.24, 11am
Holy Family Parish will hold a procession of the Blessed Sacrament on parish and school grounds on November 24, the Feast of Christ the King, at 11am. We are hopeful that this procession will become a significant moment in the life of our parish and we want you and your children be involved in a very special way.
Below are several processional roles that have been reserved for those who have received their First Holy Communion. Some of these roles are specially designated for either boys or girls. To underline the connection between the procession and First Holy Communion, we ask that (if possible) any child assuming a processional role wear the suit or dress worn on their first Holy Communion day. Please note that these roles are limited and will be assigned on a "first in, first served" basis.
Which role is your child applying for?
Flower Girl (Girl's role - will be towards the front of the procession scattering rose petals before the Eucharist)
Torch Bearer (Boy's role - carrying one of six processional torches throughout the event)
Prayers of the Rosary (will lead parts of the rosary over the processional microphone)
Processional Banner (Five students to take turns in carrying the school banner)
Choir (Will assist with the singing throughout the procession)
