Understanding infographics
Infographics (information + graphic = infographic) are visual representations of information, data, or knowledge intended to present information quickly and clearly. 

They combine 
  • Text
  • Images/icons
  • Charts/graphs
  • Numbers/statistics
They improve cognition and comprehension by using graphics, taking advantage of our abilities to see patterns and trends. 

Infographics have evolved in recent years for mass communication. They are designed to reach the general public.
