Hello TCPS friends and family! Thank you so much for volunteering. We rely on volunteers for so much and we appreciate all that you do.

Our community has great depth and a diversity of talents, and there are many different areas here for volunteering. In addition, many wonderful additions to the school have been projects that were started by our families. If you have an idea for a project or activity and feel ready to get started on it, let us know! 

Please fill out the form below with your contact information and the areas of the school you'd like to volunteer. Signing up isn't a commitment on your part; this is how you can let us know that you're interested in an event and want to be included when we're looking for help. In most cases, after you sign up you'll receive an email from the organizer of the event letting you know what opportunities are available for that activity. If you sign up for a specific event, you'll most likely hear from someone as the event approaches.

If you sign up to help with an event, please be aware that as COVID restrictions change, those events may change or be cancelled.

Guest Speaker / Resource Person - Our parent community is a valuable resource for our students and staff. When a parent's knowledge or skills coincide with our curriculum, we love having them come and teach a lesson or provide connections for speakers or field trips. Do you have an area of expertise or a community connection that you would like to share with our students?
TCPS has a sound system that we use to provide music at events like the jogathon and Halloween carnival. We need a DJ for these events! Would you be willing to help out?

We would like help contacting potential sponsors for the jogathon, and contacting companies or individuals who might donate auction items. Could you help us with this important fundraising effort?

Parent Ambassadors / Admission Assistants - Would you be willing to be a resource for prospective new families? Would you be willing to reach out to preschools and other community organizations to spread the word about TCPS?

We are so proud of our collection of books and the open access that students have to explore and enjoy it. It takes a small army to keep all of those books in order and in good repair! 

Library volunteers have a great deal of flexibility and can set their own hours once they're trained.

Are you an artist who's interested in helping with or leading an art lesson with our K-5 students? Would you be willing to lead an art lesson or assist a teacher with one? Would you like to help a teacher produce a class art project for the TCPS auction?

Nature Lovers and Gardeners - We want to continue to improve and maintain our outside environment. This could include work on Fairy Hill, outdoor planter boxes and pots, or new project ideas you may have.

Spruce-up - There are always tasks that need doing on campus to maintain and improve our facilities. These could include painting, minor repairs, and general cleaning. If you have a particular interest or talent, let us know under "Other".

Halloween Carnival - The Halloween Carnival is a fun, cross-age yearly event held during school hours. The carnival is planned and run entirely by parent volunteers, so we need help at every level, from planning to event help to clean-up.

Grandparents' Day - Every year, grandparents are invited to join their grandchildren at school for a day to discover what a special place TCPS is. This multi-generational day is a special and treasured experience for all of us. This event is during the school day in November.

Jogathon - The Jogathon is a fundraising event that happens during school hours. It's a fun day that focuses on community building, teamwork, and promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Staff Appreciation Breakfast - This event was created and designed by our parent community! Help us treat our staff to a "thank you" breakfast and a special day to honor them. This event usually occurs in late April or early May.

Thanksgiving Feast - Every year our students and staff come together for a feast before Thanksgiving break. This TCPS tradition is one of the most loved events of the year by both students and staff.

Spring Show - This is an annual event where students showcase their unique and wonderful talents! This event usually happens in May and occurs during school hours.

Our staff and volunteers occasionally need help with jobs that can be done outside of school hours. These tasks can be helpful for families who would like to fulfill their volunteer hours from home or work. Would you like to be contacted when these opportunities arise?

Development Committee - Fundraising is an important and necessary part of an independent school. There are many components of development, ranging from community partnerships to fundraising and events.

We are looking for photographers to document events and happenings at the school. Would you be willing to come to a few school events and take pictures?

Do you have marketing experience that you would be willing to put to use to help TCPS? We are looking for help in a number of areas of marketing.

Web Marketing Assistance - We are looking for someone with experience in SEO techniques and Google Ad optimization to improve our online marketing. Do you or someone you know have skills or knowledge in this area?

TCPS is always working on improving our web site, and would like to have more videos of teachers, kids and events. Do you have video production experience or equipment that might be useful in these efforts?
