Thank you for your interest in Cohort #5 of our RJ Apprenticeship in Circle Keeping for Community Building. This is a 7-session, 30 hour learning journey for community members committed to bringing the values and practices of restorative justice into their neighborhoods, schools, and organizations. Through a combination of in-person and virtual sessions, participants engage in deep reflection, practical skill-building, and collaborative planning to become confident Circle keepers and RJ practitioners.
Because restorative justice work often involves reflection on harm, trauma, identity, and community, the emotional content can sometimes be activating. Restorative Houston is not liable for any physical, emotional, or psychological outcomes that may arise from participation in the program. To honor the safety, dignity, and well-being of all participants, our program is committed to fostering a supportive and accountable learning environment. RH reserves the right to remove any individual from the program if their behavior undermines the safety or integrity of the space. People who are asked to leave will not receive a refund. This policy is in place to ensure that our apprenticeship program remains a brave and respectful space for transformative learning and community care. By checking below, you affirm the following:
I understand that the practices and techniques offered in this restorative justice certification program do not replace conventional medical or mental health treatment. If I am currently in psychotherapy or under medical care, I will consult with my healthcare provider(s) before applying to or participating in this program. I acknowledge that responsibility for my physical, mental, and emotional health rests with me and my healthcare provider(s).
I understand that if I choose to leave the cohort after having attending even just one session,
I will not receive a refund.
If you make it past the fist round, we will be hosting mandatory Zoom interview where you will participate in an online circle.
