Flexible Formative Feedback - win an ipod nano in less than 5 minutes!
In the Autumn semester we asked Level One students what their expectations of feedback at university were. Now we are asking all students about their experiences of feedback. Finding ways to enhance feedback practices is an important goal at the University of Sheffield that is supported by the Students’ Union. By contributing to this short survey, you can help make a difference to university policy and make a positive impact on the future learning and teaching environment. This student-led project aims to examine the provision and use of feedback with a focus on how effective formative feedback can support student learning. Responses from staff and students at all levels (both undergraduate and postgraduate) will be gathered in order to explore ways of aligning formative feedback to the needs of an increasingly diverse student body.
Data will be used to inform the development of models of best practice for the implementation of flexible feedback methods including a set of freely available online staff support and student study skills resources. All data will be handled and stored anonymously and will only be used in excerpted, anonymous form. Please be honest in your responses and include any additional comments in the space provided at the end of the questionnaire. Optional completion of this questionnaire implies consent to participate in this research project.
