Dolphin Dash Cardboard Regatta
Join us in our End of Season Summer Celebration featuring a cardboard boat regatta!  Race across the pool without sinking, flipping, or touching the sides of the pool. If participating please review the following rules:

Boat Entry:
1.  All Teams must register ahead of time by filling out the google form
2.  All Ages are welcomed!

Design Rules:
1.  Must hold 1 person
2.  Materials must be pool safe – Cardboard & standard Ducktape are allowed.
3.  Decoration is allowed using magic markers or water based paint (similar to those used at swim meets)
4. Materials NOT Allowed
- No sharp edges or metal parts that rust
- No paint, tape, or adhesives that fall off in water
- No glue, epoxies, sealants
- No Glass, Styrofoam, or anything that crumbles/sheds

Disqualifications:
A team will get disqualified if:
1. The boat sinks or the racer falls out
2. They touch the walls or floor to push off
3. They interfere with other boats
4. Their boat sheds unsafe material into pool

The Race:
1. Teams will have 1 team member paddle across the pool (using hands or homemade paddles)
2. Race from on end of the pool to the other (25 meters)
3. Racers must sit in their boat at all times. No Kneeling or Standing
4. Teammates may assist in placing the captain in the boat and stabilize the boat before the start signal

Awards:
Overall 1st Plac
e – Fastest boat
Most Creative Design – Most well crafted boat
The Dolphin Spirit Award – This includes best teamwork, sportsmanship, cheering loud & proud, and true dolphin spirit
Most Epic Sink – For the most entertaining sinking
