WISH ICT/KC/STL Young Professional Application 

PURPOSE STATEMENT

Make-A-Wish Missouri and Kansas Young Professional Groups are dedicated to furthering the mission of Make-A-Wish in the Wichita (ICT), Kansas City (KC), and St. Louis (STL) area. We call these groups Wish ICT, Wish KC, and Wish STL. The goal of Wish ICT/KC/STL is to increase awareness for the mission of Make-A-Wish, help to build future leadership and to generate financial support to grant local wishes to children with critical illnesses. 

IDEAL CANDIDATES
The ideal candidate is an up-and-coming professional between the ages of 24-39 with high-potential and a demonstrated ability to lead in their organization. They are passionate about being active and philanthropic members of their community and are committed to utilizing their skills to further the mission and vision of Make-A-Wish Missouri & Kansas. In return, candidates will receive the opportunity to further build their leadership capabilities as well as the opportunity to network with other business leaders from the Wichita community

MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES
*Commit to attending at minimum 80% of meetings, held monthly during the 2 year term (bi-monthly for STL). *Term is January 1-December 31. Maximum 3 terms*
*Adhere to $1,000 Give/Get annually through securing sponsorships, table sales, silent auction donations, and more for Make-A-Wish Foundation Missouri & Kansas chapter.
*Pay $50 membership dues annually (included in Give/Get total).
*Wish ICT/KC/STL is responsible for planning and executing two fundraising events per year, with the goal of raising $50,000 annually as a group. Attendance is mandatory at both events.

*Serve on a committee for one of the fundraising events.
*Members are tasked with outreach, community awareness, and fundraising. This includes local cultivation of donor partnership's, identifying/pursuing community footholds, outreach/brand awareness opportunities and membership recruitment.
*Shadow volunteer Wish Granters on one wish per year.
