VIDEO and IN-PERSON auditions available!
Video submissions are encouraged and will be accepted from July 4th to July 30th.
In-Person auditions will take place July 31st from 10am-2pm at Johnson County Arts and Heritage Center, Overland Park, KS.

From Patmos is a musical based on the life of the Apostle John. Told through flashbacks from his prison cell on the Island of Patmos, John recounts his journey from being known as the Son of Thunder to becoming the Apostle of Love. From tragedy, relationship, adventure, and passion, John's story affects the world and the individual heart. It is through his memories that the future is revealed.

Casting: We are looking for 20-26 actors of all ethnicities ages 14+. All roles are singing roles.

THIS PRODUCTION WILL BE FILMED FOR 2 DAYS AND RECORDED IN FRONT OF A LIVE STUDIO AUDIENCE ON THE THIRD NIGHT.

Roles:
14+ male actors - These are parts with speaking lines and/or solos.
4 female students - All need to be strong singers.
10+ Ensemble - Double casting will be pulled from Ensemble which will include speaking lines and solos.

For In-Person Auditions:
1. Read all the information below before deciding to audition.
2. Fill out the form below.
3. Select In-Person option.
4. Choose a time bracket to attend.
5. Receive email confirming time bracket, and tracks/sheet music
5. Choose appropriate vocal selections.
6. Attend auditions on July 31st within your time bracket. (Speaker and tracks will be provided)

In-Person Auditions will be held at Johnson County Arts and Heritage Center located at 8788 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS 66212.

CALLBACKS will be August 7th, 9:00am-1:00pm by invitation only. They will be held at Johnson County Arts and Heritage Center.


Film Dates:
October 26, 2021 - 10am-8pm
October 27 - 10am-8pm
October 28 - 10am-4pm, LIVE audience recording 6pm-9pm
Filming schedule will be determined on actor availability and scene breakdowns

Rehearsal Schedule:
August 28 - Full Cast Musical Rehearsal 9:00am-4:00pm, lunch break 12:30-1:30
September 4 - 9:00am-12:30pm - All Cast, block group scenes, costume measurements
September 6-30 - 6:00pm-9:00pm - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday Rehearsals (not everyone is called each night)
October 4-19 - 6:00pm-8:30pm - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday Rehearsals, Full Cast
*All rehearsals will be held in Grandview, MO.
Oct 22 - Load in - Johnson County Arts and Heritage Center Black Box Theatre. PM Rehearsal.
Oct 23-25 - Rehearsal, times TBA


Prior to Auditions (Submission or In-Person):
1. Review the Rehearsal Schedule.
2. Sign up for an audition time.
3. Receive an email from Firelight Creative with our audition requirements and tracks.
4. Prepare your songs. Film them. Please submit tapes in Vimeo or unlisted YouTube format
5. Email link to info@firelightcreativeproductions.com

Audition Day:
1. Print out sheet music needed for the audition.
2. Arrive 15 minutes prior to your audition time.
3. Get a number and have your photo taken.
4. You will be called in by groups of 8-10.
5. The Music Director will go over the track.
6. You will step forward one by one, sing your song and step back into line.
7. Congratulations, you are done! Look for the Callback list by 9:00am Sunday August 1st. Callback material will be posted with the list.

CallBacks:
1. Arrive 15 minutes prior to call back time.
2. You will be called up in groups by your assigned song. Your group will be taught the song, then sing individually and as a group.
3. Once each group has gone, you will be called on to perform the scenes from the script.

Callbacks will be held Saturday, August 7th 9:00am-1:00pm at Johnson County Arts and Heritage Center.
