“Save LIFE. Save WATER ECOLOGY- National campaign” modified from “60 metres campaign” in Dar es salaam, Tanzania        29th-30th April 2016
"60-Metres campaign" has been modified to “Save LIFE. Save WATER ECOLOGY- National campaign” to cover wide range of operation and expected impact as far as protection of human life from natural disasters in environmentally sensitive areas/hazardous land/ ecologically fragile areas and protection of water ecology are concerned.

The “campaign” is organized by Environmental Activists in Tanzania in collaboration of “SEE-Tanzania” and “Enviro-Forum” – the projects under the umbrella of “Jielimishe Kwanza Co Ltd” and “UNESCO-Youth-Desk-Tanzania” with the intention of inviting 50-200 Youth representatives from different backgrounds, youth from higher learning institutions and universities, youth organizations and civil societies, the community at large and media, also there will be invited guests from National environmental Management Council (NEMC) and the Ministry dealing with water, land,Natural resources and Tourism and Environmental affairs, NGOs dealing with environmental protection.

The event will encompass training, open dialogues with outdoor activities to raise public awareness and provide the youth and community at large with an insight on implementation of Land act (Chapter 113) 6 and 7 together with Environmental Management Act (EMA) 2004 (Chapter 191) article 51 and EMA 2004, 57(1) especially the protection of human life from natural disasters and protection of water ecology/bodies (environmentally sensitive areas) from human activities for sustainable development.

The campaign” will be launched and scheduled to take place in Dar es salaam in 29th -30th April 2016 from 9.00am-1.00pm.The “Save LIFE. Save WATER ECOLOGY- National campaign” will extend to other regions of Tanzania not limited to Arusha, Tanga, Mwanza and Mbeya. Venue for various events will be confirmed.

Note:With reference to the modification made so far with inputs from NEMC, the mission, the contents of the campaign stand still with additional value.Thank you for understanding.
