The Yatra will be via Kathmandu only as we will be taking the Land Route to Kailash.

The Yatra will be via Kathmandu only as we will be taking the Land Route to Kailash.

No Nepalgunj-Simikot-Hilsa Helicopter route for this year as that route is prone to weather and delays.

The Land route via Kerung border has open up last year and hence, we will take the land route which is scenic, safe and cheaper. Also it takes the same time as helicopter route and is safer and NOT weather dependent..
We can explore the option of going through the Lhasa route too. (if a good number show interest)- Check this form

We will want to do the Inner Kora*, Visit Ashtapad and Outer Kora (Parikrama) and Visit the Manasarovar Lake and some other places too in Tibet

Details of the plan

There will be availability of Ponies. Hence one need not walk during the Parikrama. At max, one may need to walk just over 2 to 2.5 Kms in the entire 14 Day Yatra. Hence, dont worry about walking

We will stay in the best of Hotels  (5 Star Hotels in Kathmandu) and then (4 Star Category ) at Darchen (The Base Camp of Kailash).

Also wifi is available in almost all places in Tibet and Nepal.

Kailash can be done comfortably. You Need not be a fitness freak or athlete to do Kailash
Essentially there is ZERO Walking till Manasarovar and DARCHEN

We will stay in the best of Hotels (3 Star at Kathmandu) and (4 Star Category) at Darchen (The Base Camp of Kailash on triple occupancy). The best accomodation that is available during the parikrama and lake manasarovar.
Elders over 79 years of age MAY do Half Kailash Parikrama on horse back (Subject to health conditions). Sometimes, Chinese authorities dont allow elders over 85 to do the Kailash Parikrama (Totally depends on the chinese policy at that moment)
