College for Living Winter 2014
Sign-ups for College for Living participants:

In partnership with Bluegrass.org, Transylvania will continue to host College for Living.  We want to make sure you are aware of some changes.  Participants must have a caregiver on the same floor of the building or in the classroom while the class is taking place. Transylvania only provides volunteers for activities; caregivers/parents/guardians must maintain responsibility for their clients/participants at all times.  

Programs and activities are created for high functioning participants, age 18 or older.


Classes will take place on Transylvania's campus on Tuesday, March 18 and 25, April 1 and 8. Mobility access door is located on the east side of Haupt, facing Haupt Plaza. A curb cut for mobility concerns is located in the Haupt Circle parking lot and in Old Morrison circle parking lot.

In consideration of the entry of my ward into the Bluegrass.org College For Living Program, I, intending to be legally bound, do hereby for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, waive, release and forever discharge any and all rights and claims for damages, including (but not limited to) any claims for loss, damages or injury whatsoever, to the person or property of Bluegrass.org/Transylvania University, their agents, employees, representatives, or their designates for any and all damages, whatsoever, which may be sustained or suffered by the participant, its agent’s representatives or assigns in connection with, association or entry in and/or arising out of traveling to or from and participation in College for Living activities. I understand that Transylvania University is not a care provider/facility and it's volunteers/teachers/staff are not certified nor to be legally identified as care providers. Because Transylvania University volunteers/teachers/staff do not have any professinal training, I understand the need for caregiver/guardian/parent to be present for my ward. By signing this I am accepting these terms and will remain on the same floor in the building with my ward at College for Living. I allow the likeness or picture of me/my ward to appear in any official documentary, sponsor advertisement or television coverage, whatsoever, of this capacity in any manner incidental to participation in this College for Living program without compensation to me, my heirs, executors, and/or agents, administrators.  I hereby assert that I fully understand and agree to there waivers and agreements. *
