Distance Learning - Reflection 13 August 2020
Hi Hunua parents & whānau,
Earlier this year NZ went into Lockdown followed by Alert Level 3. With only a few days warning schools were to deliver distance learning to our students.
At Hunua School we were aware that not all of our families had strong internet connections, or any internet at all. The teachers sent out activities on set days. Some require internet, some didn't.
If we begin a cycle where we pop in and out of Level 3, we need to think about distance learning once again.
Please take a minute to let me know how last time worked / didn't work for your kids, so I can help the teachers.
My children are in ...
Year 1 with Mrs Helen Davenport Purapura
Year 2 with Ms. Merlyn Thompson Purapura
Year 3 with Mrs. Nola White & Mrs Renae Smith Kahikatea
Year 4 with Mrs Aimee Nortje Mahoe
Year 5&6 with Miss Bronwyn Clegg Rimu 5&6
Year 7&8 with Mr Nick Gage Rimu 7&8
Distance learning worked well for our family
Yes - totally
Yes - mostly
No - not really
Please use this space to share with me your thoughts. If you have children in more that one room, it would help me greatly if you identify the room / rooms you are referring to.
