Volunteer Groups for Interfaith
Thank you for your interest in partnering with Interfaith! We love hosting large groups for one-day service projects.  We want your experience with Interfaith to be a good one!  We strive to meet your expectations,  and we can accommodate large or small groups.  Some groups want to be hands-on in our ministry areas and others just want to help out in any way - so there's lots of different opportunities.

If you're volunteering with us again - please read the policies that have been updated at the bottom of this form.

For large groups, having a representative come for a brief tour of the areas you will be working, will be helpful so you're familiar with the tasks and that it fits your expectations.

You'll find a brief list of tasks that are common for volunteer groups below. We get a lot of requests for groups, so please be patient as we try to accommodate everyone as best we can. Project availability will depend on time of year, events happening at the time and weather.

Please read through the below information and answer the questions as completely as you can.

Do you have a day or time frame in mind for when you'd like to volunteer?  This will help as I reach out to our staff to ask for projects (examples might be: Tuesdays are better; we're looking at Sept 9th or 10th,  anytime in the month of July, etc). Being specific is very helpful.   *
What are your expectations for your experience here at Interfaith?  *
Are there any limitations or restrictions in your group for the time you spend with us (for part of the group or entire group)? (ex: cannot be in heat, cannot stand for long periods of time, no lifting , no ladders etc).  *
The following are examples of projects your group can participate in that involve our ministry areas (with various options). Please select any you have an interest in (availability will vary and depend upon experience). Any drives can be done at any time and delivered to our warehouse - ask for details when we reach out.

VOLUNTEER GROUP POLICY -  DETAILS FOR YOUR GROUP
Please read through the below information carefully.  To ensure a safe, productive, and meaningful experience for your volunteers and our staff, we ask that all groups review and adhere to the following policies before scheduling a project.

1. Age Requirements & Supervision

To maintain safety on our project sites, we require the following age restrictions and chaperone ratios:
•    Minimum Age: Children must be 12 years of age or older to participate in volunteer projects, and they must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
•    Exceptions can be made on the age requirement based on the group project. Please discuss this with your Interfaith contact for more information. Note: At the Food Distribution Center and Thrift Store, no children under the age of 12 can be present at any time,  due to the machinery and equipment being used.
•    Chaperone Ratio: For youth groups, there must be a strict minimum ratio of 1 adult (21+) for every 10 children/youth.
2. Group Size Limitations
Our capacity varies depending on the day of the week and our current operational needs. All group requests will be evaluated based on your group’s goals and our available projects.
•    Weekday Projects (Monday – Friday): We can typically accommodate a maximum of 30 volunteers at a time.
•    Weekend Projects (Saturday – Sunday):
o    Standard weekend projects are limited to a maximum of 50 volunteers.
o    Exceptions up to a maximum of 70 volunteers may be made only if Interfaith has a specific, large-scale project available that requires a group of that size.
3. Property and Damage Liability
While we anticipate a safe and successful service day, organization leaders should note the following liability policy:
Notice of Liability: The coordinating organization or volunteer party assumes full financial responsibility for the behavior of their participants. Any property or equipment damages that occur as a direct result of negligence or misuse during the volunteer project will be billed directly to the sponsoring volunteer organization/party.
I have read all the above policies and will be responsible for sharing this information with my group.  *
Required
Please note, once your project has been scheduled, we ask that you please be respectful of our time involved in setting it up for your group, as we are respectful of your time and schedule. We agree to have the project prepped for you and ready for your team to arrive on time and get started. You'll receive a detailed description of the tasks you selected, plus a list of supplies that may be needed. If your group wants to donate towards supplies or materials, depending on the project (paint, plants for landscaping, etc) that is optional, but appreciated.

We believe everything we do is for the Kingdom, to the best of our abilities. We look forward to partnering with you to share in that, so that you have a great volunteer experience!
