Dragon Fruit is a tropical fruit with a unique appearance and tastes like a mixture of kiwi and pear. The fruit contains fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. The production of dragon fruit in Vietnam was about 1,2 million metric tons in 2020, and it is projected to reach 1,7 million metric tons by 2025. In Vietnam, the total area under the production of dragon fruit is approximately 55,000 hectares with the white flesh, red flesh and yellow flesh variety. Vietnamese dragon fruits have been exporting to India since 2014 and it’s well accepted in India and becomes more popular, the export value is increasing year by year and reached US$ 10 million last year, however, it’s still far below potential and Indian demand.
