Texas Undergraduate Research Journal 2013-2014 Staff Application

The Texas Undergraduate Research Journal (URJ) is looking for bright and talented minds to join the ranks of the journal. The URJ is a work of multi-disciplinary research produced and edited by University of Texas at Austin undergraduate students. The journal is published every spring semester and is circulated across campus and housed in the Library of Congress.

As an agency of the Senate of College Councils, the URJ seeks to promote undergraduate research by publishing the work of talented students, training a staff to critically evaluate research articles, and providing feedback to those who submit articles for publication throughout the selection process.

We are looking for dedicated Assistant Editors to work with Associate Editors in soliciting and editing research from the Natural Sciences, Liberal Arts, Engineering, Business, Undergraduate Studies, Education, Social Work, Communications, Architecture, and Nursing fields. Assistant Editors will gain experience in the promotion of research in their assigned fields and in selecting articles to be published in this year’s edition of the journal.

Assistant Editors must be available for meetings on Tuesdays from 6:00-6:45 PM for both Fall 2013 and Spring 2014. General meetings occur every other week.

If you would like to apply for an Assistant Editor position, please submit this completed form by 11:59 p.m. on September 18.

Feel free to contact Emily Gruener at editorinchief@texasurj.com with any questions or concerns.
