Knight Realms Rules Marshals Application
A lot of these questions are very purposefully vague. What's important here is how you handle the situations and what other factors you'd look for or quickly assess.

You may use any resource you feel you need to finish this application.

There are no right answers but there are definitely wrong answers. However, if something conflicts with what we expect or think is right, if the rationale is good and the outcome likely good in live play, we are open to adopting it or changing the policy.

As a reminder:
The purpose of Rules Marshals is to help clarify rules to players to keep combat flowing and the game fair. They are there as referees and references to help the players navigate the system in live play and encourage a spirit of sportsmanship and fair play.

Are you generally good with remembering or recalling large swathes of information and are you willing to read through the entirety of the rulebook to learn the majority of skills?
Why would you be a good fit as a rules marshal?
Be as a detailed as you'd like
What is the difference between "Out of Combat" and an "Out of Combat Scenario"?
There's a hold in combat. You're the only rules marshal there. 2 players are arguing about what a specific skill does. It's from a list you don't remember all the skills from. It's escalating a little and its quickly pulling people from around them into the hold. Do you make a call on a skill you don't know, and if so, how do you go about it?
A player is dual wielding a phokus and sword.  They have 5 metaphysical profs and 1 physical prof.  If they wanted to split the profs what is their damage on each hand?
You've heard a player call about 12 deflects on a mod. You're certain the lists they have don't give them reasonable access to that number of deflects, especially with their approximate build total. It's time for a rules violation. What do you think is good process for handing it out and why?
Explain the difference between Rules as Written vs Rules as Intended.
You didn't see it but a PC is telling an newer NPC that they took "like 300 damage in base damage alone" and that the NPC should be dead. What other factors should come into how this gets handles?
This doesn't have to be a comprehensive list! Just what is coming to mind first~
You made a spot ruling with what you thought was in line with the rules. It was minorly important to the outcome of that combat. You find out later that your spot ruling was incorrect. What do you?
What's the most negative experience you've had with somebody making a rules call?
You're on a combat mod with 8 other PCs. There's 5 NPCs. You didn't see it but an NPC is insisting that they made contact with a PC with a Slaughter (60 damage) and the PC is insisting they blocked it. It's halted combat for them. As a rules team person, what do you do?
