Fall 2015 Conference Request for Proposals
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Theme: Inspire. Engage. Transform

Focus Areas for submitting proposals are

•  Pedagogy & Practice: Practical language pedagogy, classroom practices, tips, tricks & tools, cultural practices.
•  Advocacy & Service: promotion of language & culture education, service learning, community engagement.
•  Scholarship & Research: in language acquisition, linguistics, pedagogy, intercultural topics, cultural practice or related subjects.

Session Length:  
You may choose a 1 hour presentation or 2 hour workshop/panel/extended presentation.  Longer sessions are best suited to presentations that include a lot of audience participation or demonstration.

Abstract:
Include a description of the presentation in 500 characters or fewer.  Abstracts must be submitted in English and in a publishable format.  Abstracts must be written in third person format avoiding the use of “I” and “we.” All accepted proposals will be printed in the Program Guide as submitted; however, COFLT reserves the right to edit when necessary.

Deadline and Selection Process

Submission Deadline :
Monday, September 14, 2015. Additional proposals will be reviewed and accepted as space in the schedule allows.

Notification of selection:
First round notification September 16, 2015.

Proposals will be reviewed on a rolling basis as they are received. Your presentation will either be accepted as is, accepted with modifications, or not accepted.

Membership:  
You do not have to be a member of COFLT to submit a proposal; however, if your submission is selected for presentation, you must become a member in good standing.
