This application of intent does not obligate local school districts or accredited nonpublic schools systems to hire teachers from Spain at this time. By completing this application, a local school district or an accredited nonpublic school expresses an interest in participating in the Exchange Visiting Teachers from Spain (EVTS) program. Please complete a separate form for each possible teaching position available.

The EVTS program interviews, and pre-selects teachers to be interviewed by accredited public and nonpublic school districts based on Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Requirements in Chapter 19B Iowa Code and Chapter 95 of the Iowa Administrative Code (IAC). As a state agency, the Iowa Department of Education is not permitted to ask questions on the basis of race, color, national origin, gender, disability, religion, creed, age, marital status, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
