Welcome to the Rotary Club of Red Bank. As one of our newest members, we would like to put you to work right away. Listed below are 'Rotary's Avenues of Service', listed below each Avenue are the committees that support them. Please select those of interest to you and we will see that the appropriate Club Service Director or Committee Chair receives the information.

Club Service

Club Service focuses on making clubs strong. A thriving club is anchored by strong relationships and an active membership development plan.

Weekly Speakers/Programs - Helps the Vice President to obtain interesting speakers for our weekly meetings. Speakers should be briefed on club protocol, i.e., no blatant advertising, etc.

Club Greeter - The Club Greeter is responsible for helping the Sergeant at Arms set up and break down each meeting, taking attendance and selling weekly 50/50 tickets.

Membership Development - Help the club connect with prospective members in the community.

Club Newsletter Editor - The editor records information at each meeting to be published the weekly newsletter.

Club Picnic - Our yearly picnic is an event used to foster fellowship between club members. In the past we have had our picnic at Camp Arrowhead, Sandy Hook, and Monmouth Raceway.

Club Holiday Party - To foster relations between club members and their families during the holiday season.

Public Relations - The role of the club public relations committee is to create and implement a plan to tell Rotary’s story to the public and promote the club’s projects and activities. Having strong public relations ensures that communities around the world know that Rotary is a credible organization that meets real needs. When a Rotary club has a positive public image, current members are motivated to be active, and prospective members are eager to join.

District Conference/Hospitality - To promote the District Conference to our club members, organize the hospitality suite, etc.

Past Presidents Day - To celebrate our club history with past presidents of the Rotary Club of Red Bank. Past presidents who are non-members are invited to attend as well.

Community Service

Community Service encourages every Rotarian to find ways to improve the quality of life for people in their communities and to serve the public interest.

Can-a-thon - Aids the local Salvation Army in stocking their food pantry for the winter. Typically we have two to four Rotarians at local food stores the Thursday, Friday and Saturday before Thanksgiving

Bell Ringing - Aids the local Salvation Army in gathering funds during the holiday season. Typically the ‘kettle’ is set up on both sides of Broad Street on the Thursday Friday and Saturday before Christmas day.

Annual Golf Outing - For over 50 years our Annual Golf Outing has funded The Red Bank Rotary Foundation which has granted well over One Million Dollars since its inception.

Annual Food & Wine Tasting Event - Since 2001, each April, the Rotary Club of Red Bank through the club's Foundation has run a Food & Wine Tasting event to benefit a charity in the greater Red Bank area.

Annual Lombardi Dinner - The Annual Vince Lombardi Awards Banquet honors a lineman from each Monmouth County high school football team. The individuals selected to receive this special award best exemplify the traditions, beliefs and ideals of the legendary coach Vince Lombardi. The Lombardi committee also selects and honors a 'Coach of the Year', a 'Team of the Year' and a football player to receive the coveted 'John Tuggle Award' for overcoming extreme adversity, dealing with overwhelming challenges and yet still succeeded.

Holiday Gift Giving - To collect toys and clothing for needy in the local area during the holiday season.

Fund Development, Rotary Club of Red Bank Foundation - The Red Bank Rotary Foundation has granted well over One Million Dollars since its inception. We are constantly searching for new ways to increase or ability to help other local non-for-profit groups.

Vocational Service

Vocational Service calls on every Rotarian to work with integrity and contribute their expertise to the problems and needs of society.

Vocational Service Award Program - Awards an outstanding Rotarian, nominated and chosen from each district, to be individually recognized and honored for exemplifying Vocational Service and for demonstrating high ethical standards through his or her business/ profession.

International Service

International Service exemplifies our global reach in promoting peace and understanding. We support this service avenue by sponsoring or volunteering on international projects, seeking partners abroad, and more.

Gift of Life - A Rotarian-based organization that over the past 4 decades has helped more than 18,000 children from emerging countries receive treatment for their heart disease.

International Project Development - Connect with a Rotary club in another country to help complete a project outside of the USA.

Polio Plus - Rotary, along with our partners, has reduced polio cases by 99 percent worldwide since our first project to vaccinate children in the Philippines in 1979. We are close to eradicating polio, but we need your help.

Fund Development, Rotary International Foundation - The Rotary Foundation transforms your gifts into projects that change lives both close to home and around the world. As the charitable arm of Rotary, we tap into a global network of Rotarians who invest their time, money, and expertise into our priorities, such as eradicating polio and promoting peace. Foundation grants empower Rotarians to approach challenges such as poverty, illiteracy, and malnutrition with sustainable solutions that leave a lasting impact.

Youth Services

Youth Service recognizes the importance of empowering youth and young professionals through leadership development programs.

Interact - Interact is a club for youth ages 12-18 who want to connect with others in their community or school. Interact club members have fun while carrying out service projects and learning about the world. Interact clubs organize at least two service projects a year: one that benefits their community and one that encourages international understanding. While Interact clubs receive guidance from individual Rotary clubs, they govern and support themselves.

Rotaract - Rotaract is a club for adults ages 18-30 that meets twice a month to exchange ideas, plan activities and projects, and socialize. While Rotary clubs serve as sponsors, Rotaract clubs decide how to organize and run their club and what projects and activities to carry out.

RYLA - Rotary Youth Leadership Academy - Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is a leadership development program run by Rotary. While participants can be any age, most events focus on secondary school students, university students, or young professionals. RYLA events are typically 3–10 days long and include presentations, activities, and workshops that cover a variety of topics.

Rotary Youth Exchange - Youth Exchange is a study-abroad opportunity for young people who spend anywhere from a few weeks to a full year as an international student hosted by local Rotary clubs.

Scholarship Committee - The Rotary Club of Red Bank awards scholarships annually to high school seniors based on academic standing, community service, and financial need. Eligibility requirements also include being a resident of one of the communities in the club's catchment area (Red Bank, Little Silver, Shrewsbury Boro, Rumson, & Fair-Haven), and attending one of the following high schools: Red Bank Regional, Red Bank Catholic, Rumson Fair-Haven, or one of the Monmouth County Vocational High Schools. Information regarding applications will be available through the school's Guidance Department.

Career Day - Red Bank Rotary sponsors a Thursday Career Day for approximately fifty Red Bank Regional High School Students. Each student is paired with a member of the Rotary Club that matches their career goals and ‘shadows’ that member at their job for about three hours. The students will then be brought to our weekly club luncheon. Our speakers topic is career oriented.
