McLean County IL Covid-19 Mutual Aid
Hello! In an effort to slow the spread of the coronavirus in Bloomington-Normal and McLean County, we are hoping to assist people who are self-isolating at home.

It is very important for our whole community that people who are at risk of becoming gravely ill from this virus stay safe at home. According to the CDC, this includes anyone over 60 years of age, anyone with underlying health conditions (heart disease, diabetes, lung disease), and anyone with a compromised or suppressed immune system. Additionally, it is extremely important that anyone who is experiencing flu-like symptoms STAY HOME and do not interact with people. If any of these folks do not have family locally, they may need our support to get supplies and groceries they need.

We have set up a phone number for people to call who need errands run, and are looking for people willing to run those errand as well as manage the phone line. If you are needing someone to run an errand for you, or know someone who can use this service please share/call ‪(309) 839-9496‬.

If you are able to help run errands and/or deliver food to people in need in Bloomington-Normal or McLean County, please fill this out.

THANK YOU!

Volunteer role: Errand Runner
Runners must have a car, and must be diligent about cleanliness. (If you are showing ANY signs of sickness, obviously please do not go shopping.)

Runners will drop supplies at the front door of the self-isolating neighbor, and will call the neighbor to let them know their delivery has arrived. They will not interact face-to-face with the neighbor at all.
Please mark the days you are usually available (errands can be run in the daytime or evenings):
Where are you willing or able to deliver to? (If you live in or are willing to go to any a smaller town(s) in McLean county please type that in the "other" entry. This is very important, grocery delivery isn't available in rural towns!)
Clear selection
If we have an errand to run on short notice outside of the regular time frame, can we call you to see if you are available? If you know days and times that are typically available feel free to list those. (optional)
Are you able to help lead, organize, and manage this effort?

By submitting this form you confirm that you will be diligent and strict about having clean hands and wearing a mask when running errands for the Mutual Aid Team. You also agree that you will NOT run an errand if you are experiencing ANY COVID-19 symptoms or if you have been in contact with anyone exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms in the past 14 days. We are helping vulnerable populations and require our volunteers to take this very seriously.  Please note that demand for this service fluctuates, so it is possible that we may not get in touch with you to run an errand. *
