Family involvement is what drives our school and creates rich opportunities for our kids and our community. There are so many ways to help out at PS 321, and anyone and everyone can do it. We’ve got ample opportunities for folks who want to be more involved, and even more for those who can give a few hours here and there.

Back to School Picnic (September 30) - Help get the school year in gear with this fun family potluck gathering.

Fall Fest - Plan and run fun fall-themed crafts for the kids and sweet treats at this afer-school family event (Saturday October 22nd).

Parents' Night Out (October): Have a night out with your grade at a local watering hold or on front stoops. We need a group of parents to help plan this fun event.

Picture Day (October & April) - Help plan this event and volunteer day-of to help get the kids ready for their close ups.

Election Day Bake Sale (Nov) - Spend Election Day with friends by volunteering for our Election Day Bake Sale. While school is closed, the polls at PS 321 are open from 6am through 9pm. We need helpers to sell baked goods and/or to bake something delicious for all the hungry voters.

Around the World in 90 Minutes (Winter) - Calling all International families! Come share and celebrate your culture with the entire school -- kids get a passport and take a trip around the world.

Kids Art Night (Winter)- This is an evening of art and fun for kids at school. Rooms are transformed into art project. We need planners and volunteers!

Used Book Sale (Winter) - We ask families to donate books the week before and then we set up shop in the lobby for students to shop over the course of a week.

321 Holiday Shop (December) - PS 321 has hosted our Stuff Holiday Shop for a number of years. We host up to 100 vendors and usually have a kids craft room sponsored by local camps & art programs. This is a large fundraiser for our school.

Coat Drive (Late Fall) - Help plan and volunteer at this meaningful yearly event where families donate warm coats to local community centers.

Canned Food Drive (Feb)- Help collect food for CHiPS in our annual drive, donating hundreds of bags of food to help those in our community in need.

Moveable Feast (Late winter) - Parents volunteer to host fellow grade parents for cocktails, dinner or dessert and groups move around to different homes for the evening. Meet other parents in your child’s grade and have a delicious evening out!

Carnival (Spring) - Beloved by kids, this event transforms 321 into a fun house full of games, crafts and bouncy houses. We need a group to help plan and run this joyous event.

Spring Gala & Auction (Spring) - Be the brains behind our biggest fundraiser of the year!

Family Tech Day (Spring) - Full of fun STEM-focused workshops, demos, and maker activities of all kinds, developed by PS 321 teachers, parents, and community partners.

321 School Store - The PTA Store sells PS 321 merchandise on Family Fridays and at other special events. The Store raises money and enhances our community spirit. Parents help to design, order and sell all merchandise - we have everything from tees & buttons to hoodies & hats.

5th Grade Committee - Be part of the group that makes kids' final 321 year super special, including creating their yearbook.

Green & Healthy Committee - Be a driving force behind nutrition and sustainability at 321. This essential group runs Green & Healthy Month in January to educate our kids on these key areas. They also run the 321 Garden and plan events to beautify the school grounds.

Equity & Inclusion Committee (Throughout Year) - Join our group that helps to steer this important conversation at PS 321.

School’s Out Summer Camp and After-School Directory - PS 321 PTA hosts a winter camp fair featuring 60+ camps from Brooklyn and beyond. This is a great opportunity for families to check out camps face to face whether you are looking for after school, day or sleepaway camps, there are offerings for everyone. Help out at this fun event!

Fundraising Committee (Throughout Year) - Help shape our schools fundraising events, from big events like the Spring Gala and Arts Party, to fundraising nights at The Nets & Brooklyn Cyclones, to new ideas you can spearhead!

Learning Friends (Throughout Year) - Learning Friends are parents who spend one class period a week (45 minutes) to help a struggling student. Any parent can be a Learning Friend – it just requires a minimal amount of time and a willingness to work one-on-one with a student.

Meet the Writers (Throughout Year) - Meet the Writers is a beloved program at PS321. For over twenty years, it has brought children’s authors and illustrators to meet with our students.

Social Emotional Learning Committee (Throughout Year) - Help plan events to help teach children specific social-emotional skills like self-awareness, self-management, empathy, perspective taking and cooperation

Arts Party - We have an annual arts party fundraiser every year - often in the spring but sometimes in the fall. In a typical year, this event takes place at a 321 parents’ home. This is a fun and intimate fundraiser for the PTA with art raffles, food, surprise performance and more!
