When accepting a place on a competition team, please consider the below:Ā
- Compulsory sessions must be attended at all times.
- Any absence must be communicated via email.Ā
- For planned absence (e.g. school parents evening, residential etc) this must be communicated at least 7 days in advance.Ā
- We understand there will be occasional absence due to severe illness (vomiting etc) and ask that this is communicated via email as soon as possible to allow coaches to amend session plans.
- During the ā€˜red zone’ in the 3 weeks leading up to competition, any absence from training can result in an athlete being removed from the team.Ā
-Ā During the ā€˜red zone’ in theĀ 3 weeks leading up to competition,Ā optional sessions become compulsory for all athletes.Ā
- All competitions listed above must be attended.
- Unexcused absence or failure to adhere to the above could result in expulsion from the squad without refund. Ā
The following unexcused absences are non-negotiable and apply to all. One person’s absence affects an entire team negatively.

Unexcused absences:Ā
- Homework and exam revision
- Holidays

Aside from Team England, athletes may not be part of any other competitive cheer programme.Ā
