Civil Society Application Form - 26 September Outreach Meeting of UN Secretary-General's Expert Advisory Group on Data Revolution for Sustainable Development
Representatives of civil society organizations with expertise on one or more of the subjects below are invited to submit an application to attend the 26 September outreach session of the IAEG, taking place in New York (location TBD).
•  Measures required to close the data gaps and strengthen national statistical capacities.
•  New opportunities linked to innovation, technical progress and the surge of new public and private data providers to support and complement conventional statistical systems and strengthen accountability at the global, regional and national level. 
•  Open data and accountability: experience of working on programmes of citizen engagement, open data or data literacy; research or other expertise in these areas, experience of mobilisation for engagement with accountability initiatives
•  Monitoring the SDGs: participatory methods; monitoring inequalities, eliciting citizen feedback on the performance of service providers; perceptions data; tracking progress in any of the new areas likely to be covered in the SDGs; citizen generated data.
•  Challenges and opportunities in using big data and new technologies: use of mobile and other technologies to collect data and engage citizens in feedback; use of big data for monitoring change and tracking progress
Travel funding is not available for participation in this event.
