Artist-Facilitator proposal (Fall 2017)
Thank you for applying to be an Artist-Facilitator for the Fall 2017 season! This Artist Education workshop series is intended to create collaborative space for artists to share their skills with our creative community, to strengthen relationships, and build resilience.

These workshops are a collaboration between Patrick's Cabaret, Pangea World Theater, and Soo Visual Arts Center. They reflect our collective commitment to connecting artists with resources, to each other, and provide them with opportunities to put their unique talents to work.

Applying artists can be of any discipline or level of experience. To help you with this application, here's a few qualities that we're looking for: (1) Artists who can lead a 1.5-hour long workshop, sharing skills that have helped them survive as artists; (2) Workshops related less to artistic content than to skills, professional, and wellness development (from applying to funding to curating safer spaces); (3) Because we support artists on the margins, workshops should center experiences "at the edge of culture." While we do have these guidelines, all are encouraged to apply and we will review every application in full. (Check out our website's event archive to find previous workshops: Also note that your idea doesn't have to be fully fleshed out yet, but give us as much information as you can.

Expectations: Once four artists are selected, they will individually meet with Cabaret staff for ~30 minutes, adequately plan their workshops, facilitate the workshop, receive $200 upon completion, and submit a brief reflection so we can continue to improve this programming.

Timeline (not yet finalized, will update ASAP):
Workshop #1: Thursday, November 2nd from 6:00-8:00PM
Workshop #2: Week of Nov. 6-11
Workshop #3: Week of Nov. 20-29
Workshop #4: Wednesday, December 5th from 6:00-8:00PM

Applications are due by Thursday, October 5th at 11:59PM, and we'll let you know if we selected your proposal by Thursday, October 12th.
