Mentor Application
Thank you for applying to be a Konnection Mentor. The Konnection sessions take place every Tuesday from 4:30-6:00pm (based on the academic calendar). Sessions begin in January and end at the end of May. All mentors must be background checked and attend mandatory mentor training in December. Mentoring sessions take place at the Durfee Elementary-Middle School located at 2425 Tuxedo St, Detroit, MI 48206.

Please note: Completing an application does not guarantee a spot. Final selection will be based on interviews, matching of gender and interests. You must be 21 years of age or older to mentor with The Konnection.

I also understand that the personal information obtained is required by the Central Records Division of the Michigan State Police, Lansing, MI, to obtain a conviction only criminal history file search.I hereby authorize the release of any records to the person or agency listed, along with the assigned school district. I understand that the agency is not obligated to assign me or continue my assignment if, in their professional judgment, it would not be in the best interest of myself or the person served by the agency.
