The purpose of the OutFront Minnesota Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to graduating high school students and or current college students who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community and plan on attending an institution of higher learning.
The founder of this scholarship program, Dan Livak, wanted to create a scholarship to help members of our community advance themselves through education. He started managing on his own at 16, working full time while also maintaining a full high school and then college curriculum. Having to figure everything out without a support network can be difficult, and this scholarship program was created to help out on that at least a little, through financial aid and mentoring support.
