B-SAFE 2018 Teen Volunteer Application
Get Involved This Summer! Join the B-SAFE Teen VOLS Team (Valuable Opportunities for Leadership & Service).

B-SAFE, the summer portion of our year-round programming keeps students learning and growing when school is out. B-SAFE provides more than 500 elementary and middle school students with a fun, nurturing, academic enrichment opportunity. It serves young people from low income neighborhoods in Boston and Chelsea and operates from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, for five weeks. B-SAFE 2018 will run from Wednesday, July 5th to Thursday, August 3rd. VOLS Team training will be held at the Epiphany School from 8:30-4pm on Thursday, June 29th, Friday June 30th and Monday July 3rd.

If you are 15-18 years old and like working with children, join the VOLS Team for 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 week opportunities. It is a great way to add service and fun to your summer. You will work with a Lead Counselor, other teens, and a group of 15 young people. Responsibilities will include: building relationships with young people, B-SAFE staff, and other volunteers; encouraging participation in reading, math, technology, art, recreation, and more: and chaperoning elementary or middle school students on field trips.
