USgathering has been selected to present an exhibit at the Diane Endres Ballweg Gallery at the Central Madison Public Library  this coming September.

The idea is to create an installation designed to fill the entire space of the Library Gallery walls.

We want to invite you to participate by bringing the materials we need from your hand to the piece. we will be focusing on one material: tin cans.

As with most of USgathering's projects, our purpose is to develop this piece in collaboration with the community. In this specific case, we want to invite the library staff, library patrons and our past gathering networks to participate.

Using simple materials generated from everyday consumption as an art material, USgathering's goal is to foster awareness about social issues such as over-consumption, waste, and the future through the lens of art. USgathering also strives to facilitate conversations around sustainability and community.
