This Mandatory Reporter Training for Child & Dependent Adult Abuse is offered online, at NO COST for school administrators, teachers, school support staff, and others who interact with students in Iowa.
Iowa Law requires individuals applying for a license, renewing a license, or obtaining an authorization certificate issued by the Board of Educational Examiners (BOEE) to provide proof of completion of an approved ‘Mandatory Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Reporter Training’ program.
Following the completion of this 3-hour, approved training (#2032) and evaluation (survey monkey), registrants will receive a certificate of training completion that will be good for 5 years from the date of the training.
You can expect to receive your certificate 7-10 business days upon completion. It will be emailed to the address you provide in the final survey.
It is each individual's responsibility to keep his or her certificate and a back-up certificate in case one is misplaced.
282 Iowa Administrative Code 11.35(3) Fraudulent applications. An application shall be considered fraudulent pursuant to Iowa Code section 272.6(4) if it contains any false representation of a material fact or any omission of a material fact which should have been disclosed at the time of application for licensure or is submitted with a false or forged diploma, certificate, affidavit, identification, or other document material to the applicant’s qualification for licensure or material to any of the grounds for denial set forth in Iowa Code sections 272.2(14) and 272.6.
The training and completion certificate offered by Iowa Public Television meets the requirement of the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners for Teacher licensure.
