Application for Cultural Conversations Fall 2017
Cultural Conversations: Learning about Differences, Finding Common Ground

Through support from Cherokee Preservation Foundation, Western Carolina University and the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina, Folkmoot has taken a leadership role in the serious business of gathering people – folks like us, and folks who are “different” from us – and offering the chance to get to know each other, to consider various points of view, to explore difference, and ultimately to discover common ground and learn that we are so much more alike than we had ever thought.
At the conclusion of your time together the “dialogue leads to action” and the real work begins of seeing, living and experiencing our community with a new vision and purpose. Hopefully you will discover your role in helping to improve multicultural, racial, and ethnic relationships so that we can make Western North Carolina the best place to live, work and raise a family.
