“The Purpose of the Royal High School Athletic Hall of Fame is to recognize, celebrate and remember individuals and or teams who have brought positive recognition to RoyalHigh School through their accomplishments in Athletics. As we recognize the positive achievements of the past, we encourage a culture of success and achievement for the future.”

Nominations can be made by any Former Athletes, Community member, School District Staff Member, coaches, etc. A person/team nominated must distinguish themselves by demonstrating exceptional leadership, character and achievement in athletics.

Nomination forms will be available on the Royal School District website in the Athletics tab.

The Selection Committee will be made up of the following: Current RHS Athletic Director or Acting Administrator, and the 9 Members of the Royal Booster Board of Directors. The Royal Booster Board can point additional members to be represented on the Athletics Hall of Fame committee as they see fit with a two thirds majority vote.

The Selections Committee will have the authority to waive some of the requirements for candidates that excel in many areas or in the case of extenuating circumstances.

The Selection Committee will meet throughout the year and announce when they will be inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame for that year.

The Selections Committee is charged with consideration of whether the “person nominated … distinguished himself/herself by demonstrating exceptional leadership, character and achievement in athletics Within Royal Schools Athletics programs and within the Royal Community.

The Initial Induction Announcement will be at half-time of a selected Royal Knights athletic event during the school year. There may be times throughout the year that we induct members based off their availability at other sporting events. Inductee will also be invited to attend a banquet to be recognized in the spring.

I understand that my nomination for the Royal Athletic Hall of Fame does not guarantee selection, as the final decision will be made by the selection committee.
